Tart, Quiche, Flan - 1:12 Silicone Mould
This silicone mould can be used to make a miniature cake base for a tart or quiche and a fruit cake in 1:12 scale (one inch).
The two bases have a diameter of approx. 23 mm and a height of approx. 2.8 mm. In "real life", this corresponds to a diameter of approx. 28 cm.
The mould is heat resistant up to 200° C for a short time. Material like polymer clay can therefore be baked in the mould (110° C for 30 minutes).
Epoxy resin can also be used as a filling, but this significantly reduces the life of the mould, as the resin causes it to become brittle over time. UV resins are not suitable, as the mould should be transparent.
Instructions
Press a small ball of polymer or air dry clay into the moulds (I use modelling tools for this).
Bend the mould to release the clay and bake your miniatures in a preheated oven according to the manufacturer's instructions (do not exceed 200° C!). Alternatively, you can leave the chocolates in the mould and only remove them after baking.
